Most nationals do not require a visa for entry into South Africa for tourism purposes, however please ensure that you check with a South African consulate or embassy in your home town. South Africa has the following requirements:
New requirements, introduced by the South African Department of Home Affairs from 1 June 2015, specify that all minors (children under 18 years) are required to produce, in addition to their passport, an Unabridged Birth Certificate, which shows the details of both parents for all international travel to and from South Africa.
If a minor is traveling with 1 parent or without parents, additional documents are required. Please notify Heritage Safaris if this is the case.
You may visit www.home-affairs.gov.za for the latest regulations / information and to check if you are a visa exempt national. It is always recommended to contact the Embassy of South Africa in your country prior to travel.

Firearm import permits are a very standard procedure in South Africa if one knows what they are doing. We have been organizing permits for our clients for the past 10 years. We will assist and guide our clients all the way.

Although importing your firearm to South Africa is a simple and easy process some prefer to not travel with them especially if traveling elsewhere before or after their hunt. Our range of rifles expands from middle calibers from 270 up to big calibers up to 500.

Whether it’s complete taxidermy work, dip and pack or just organization for export of your trophies we can highly recommend this company. No immunization or medication is required prior to travel to South Africa. We are based in a Malaria free zone. However, in advance of any international travel we suggest that you consult with your doctor to determine if there are any precautions you should take in advance of departure.
We are always equipped with medical products to tend to injuries or illness. In case of emergency very modern and high standard hospitals are located within a short drive from us. If the situation is severe we can also organize a helicopter transfer promptly.
The currency in South Africa is South African rand. This is the only currency accepted by most institutions. However, USD and Euro is also widely accepted in South Africa by outfitters.
At the conclusion of the safari gratuities for staff can be left with the PH in charge. Please ask for our Gratuities Advisory Sheet for guidance.
Material gifts such as knives, optics, watches, outerwear, equipment of various kinds, etc are not preferred over monetary gratuities. The recipient would be more appreciative of the client, if the client would bestow cash as a gratuity. Staff that have been employed in the industry for any reasonable period of time already poses items of this nature.
